Enhanced Disability Premium

This premium (EDP) is payable in respect of members of a family who are aged less than 60 and who are in receipt of:

Disability Living Allowance care component at the highest rate, or
The daily living component of Personal Independence Payment at the enhanced rate, or
The support component of Employment and Support Allowance.

Receipt of Attendance Allowance does not give rise to entitlement.

EDP has both an adult and a child element. As regards adults there are two rates of EDP: one for a single-person household, and the other for a couple. As regards children, there is a fixed rate of EDP per qualifying child.
