How does the Qualifying Age for State Pension Credit (QASPC) impact on DFG calculations for over 60s ?

The changes to benefits included the incremental increase of the Qualifying Age for State Pension Credit (QASPC). Unfortunately, where the Relevant person is over 60, but under the QASPC, this raises issues with regards to calculating DFGs.

Although the Welfare Benefits legislation changes and uprating have been implemented from April 2012, please note that Means Tests for Housing Grants will continue to be calculated using the current legislation.
